Nets Vs. Sixers Game Recap

Wow.

That’s all that can be said about the March 10ths game against the 76ers. Without Ben Simmions playing on the Nets, the 76ers were still blown out of the water by an astounding 29 points, resulting in a final score of 129-100 (Nets-76ers). We’ve talked a lot about who won this trade on this platform, but now I think we can confidently say the Nets did. Kevin Durant dropped 25 points, placing himself as the leading scorer for the Nets during this game, while Kyrie came in just after with 22, and not to be ignored, Seth Curry scored 24 on his former teammates. Although the 76ers put up a decent performance with Joel Embiid scoring 27, the same can’t be said about James Harden’s performance against his former team.

After playing for a grueling 35 minutes, Harden only scavenged 11 total points. Furthermore, Harden’s subpar performance is evidenced by his -30 plus/minus figure. If this game doesn’t prove that the Nets won this trade, I simply don’t know what else could! The Nets were clearly the better team during tonight’s game, especially with Seth Curry, who had a fantastic night! With this highly anticipated game out of the way, I think it’s fair to say the 76ers may have made a big mistake.
