A jaw-dropping trade that you’ve probably heard about by now: Ben Simmions, Seth Curry, and Andre Drummond are now members of the Brooklyn Nets. Paul Millsap #31 and James Harden #13 were traded from the Nets. Now, the big question is determining who won this trade? I personally believe that the Nets have won this trade because they obtained a fantastic shooter, in the form of Seth Curry, a brick wall in Andre Drummond, and hopefully a dominant small forward in the form of Ben Simmons. It is believed that before the trade, Joel Embiid attempted to convince Ben Simmons to stay in Philadelphia; however, Simmons staunchly refused. This is likely due to the fact that the city of Philadelphia has relentlessly bullied Simmons because of his haphazard playoff performance last year. Now, I may not be in the position to speak on behalf of pro-NBA players on who won the trade, but someone else released their thoughts about this trade. Draymond Green from the Golden State Warriors voiced his opinions regarding this trade, and he concluded that the 76ers lost this trade due to one key factor: they traded Seth Curry away. Draymond believes that Seth was one of the best shooters on the team and it wasn’t too smart to send him away. Let’s also remember that the Celtics blew the 76ers out by 57 during a game post-trade. Now, the trial by fire will take place on March 10th, 2022, when the two teams will face off. When asked about this game, Ben Simmons said that he hopes he’ll be prepared to play in it and put forth his best effort against his past team. Then and ONLY then will we see who truly won this trade.
