In what has shocked many Nets fans, Kyrie Irving has requested a trade. Many are speculating as to which team he may be traded to, but the team that he seems to want is the Los Angeles Lakers, for a reunion with LeBron James. I personally find this surprising, as Kyrie Irving and Kevin Durant have seemed to have good chemistry throughout the season. However, with KD being out due to an MCL injury, it’s possible that Kyrie may want to leave. With Kyrie going to the Lakers, the team could become serious contenders, as even LeBron has stated that their team needs more shooters, which is something that Kyrie could easily provide. If Kyrie does stay, I think that the Nets have found their groove as a team, so they can be serious contenders for the playoffs and possibly go all the way. However, at this point, all we can do is watch.
