It has recently been speculated that Kyrie Irving is going to stay with the Brooklyn Nets and reaffirm his choice to opt-in with the Nets for the 2022-2023 NBA season.
Analysts believe that the Brooklyn Nets star point guard will stay with the Nets because of recent news in his process of being potentially traded: the Nets still have not been approached by another team with an offer that they believe would be worth losing Kyrie Irving. Previous trade discussions occurring between the Brooklyn Nets and the Los Angeles Lakers discussed the possibility of a trade landing Russell Westbrook in Brooklyn and Kyrie in LA. However, due since the teams could not arrive at an agreement, the trade is believed to be called off.
So, to all of the Brooklyn Nets fans reading, it appears that Kyrie Irving is going to stay in Brooklyn! There should be no COVID regulation this season, so he should be able to play at all home and away games this season. I personally hope that Kyrie Irving strays away from his recent trend of sitting out countless games throughout the season, even when he is eligible and healthy to play. Who knows, Kyrie Irving may even be in the running for MVP this season?
