Every Nets fan around the world should be extremely thankful that Kevin Durant’s numerous trade requests did not work out. From his internet-shattering ankle breaker against the Wizards to his consistent 30+ point performances, there is no doubt that Durant has dominated almost every single game he’s played this season. And despite his amazing performances, the Nets barely possess a winning record (13-12), which is likely because the rest of the Nets bench lacks the experience and skill that Durant has.
This lack of star power remains especially true with Kyrie Irving’s recent absence for posting about an anti-Semitic documentary on his social media accounts. However, with Kyrie Irving back now, Nets fans are hopeful for a change in the trajectory of the season. The Nets should easily secure a position in the playoffs; however, in order to ensure they make it far into the playoffs while avoiding other competitive eastern conference teams, they need to gain a high seeding.
